Songs & Music

From the bayous of Galliano, Louisiana to the stages of Hollywood, Germany, Japan, and Brazil -- Chuck Plaisance has spent over five decades as a performing artist, captivating audiences with a voice once described by a priest in Bremen as belonging to "the man with testosterone in his voice." His journey from a shy Cajun boy to an internationally touring frontman is a story of pure passion, grit, and an unwavering love for music.

The Bayou Beginnings

Chuck's musical awakening came early. His mother, Ramona, sang and played piano in the house, filling the family home with melodies. By the age of eleven, he joined the church choir. By twelve, he was playing in his first rock band. At thirteen, he was already touring -- performing at every CYO dance on the East and West Banks of New Orleans and very special sold out shows o the S.S. President Paddlewheel steamboat on the mighty Mississippi River.

By night, he was performing on the Sunset Strip, sharing stages with the biggest names in rock and blues.

The European Chapter

In 2006 Namm Show - Doane Perry introduced me to Bobby Kimball (lead singer of Toto) "Hey Bobby I got one a your Cajun compadres here". That was the start of a very long lasting Friendship and band mate. An invitation from Wolfgang Luecke brought Chuck to Germany, where he quickly became a fixture of the European rock and blues scene. He has since performed alongside Bobby Kimball, Kirk Fletcher, TM Stevens, Rickey Lawson, Leland Sklar, Martin Engelien, Victor Smolski, and many others.
